The Program Manager for the Pediatric Cardiac Sonography Non-Invasive Clinical Specialist is responsible for the innovation, development, adoption, and integration of non-invasive CV ultrasound techniques to guide and direct therapy for CV patients at Florida Hospital. He/she will be actively involved in developing specific areas of ultrasound technology integration by developing imaging protocols and standards for Congenital and Pediatric Cardiovascular patients; educating the pediatric CV surgeons, cardiologists, ultrasound sonographers and students at the college these skills. Develop the imaging standards and actively participate with new highly specialized procedures including all pre, peri, and post operative pediatric and congenital exams in order to ensure safe patient care through the optimum use of the ultrasound technology. To provide the direct care and oversight to the pediatric cardiovascular program by utilizing ultrasound to participate in research and incorporate evidence based practices to advance the program. Responsible for organizing and managing the accreditation process in echo and vascular lab including physicians and staff sonographers for FH system. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
General computer skills, including typing, and be familiar with the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint software

Professional attitude and conduct, possess the ability to communicate at different levels of education, be able to maintain composure under pressure, be flexible enough to accommodate rapidly changing priorities
Capable of performing multiple concomitant assignments in a timely manner
Minimum of 10 years experience performing complex pediatric sonography.
Previous experience in pediatric sonography education program development.
Prior experience in pediatric accreditation laboratory.
Experience in Adult Echo and Vascular Sonography (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Active Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) status by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or
Active Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) status by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
Active Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) status by CCI(Preferred) or
Active Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) status by ARDMS(Preferred)

Responsible for the innovation, development, adoption and integration of non-invasive CV ultrasound techniques in pediatrics, fetal and complex congenital.
Develop imaging protocols for given CV patient procedures or diagnosis for the various ultrasound modalities.
Instruct CV surgeons, anesthesiologists, allied health professionals, hospital sonographers and sonography students on advanced imaging modalities and protocols according to accreditation standards.
Participate with advanced quaternary CV care that requires the highest level of non-invasive imaging skill.
Provide direct oversight to the pediatric cardiac sonography training and participate and utilize research and best practices to advance the program.
Oversee and assist in developing study parameters and writing publishable material, help to compile and analyze data, and to prepare manuscripts, abstracts and grant applications. He/she will also prepare other reports and documentation of research for presentation at departmental meetings as may be required by the Principal Investigator and/or Director regarding the pediatric/ congenital non-invasive imaging techniques used in Florida Hospital’s Cardiovascular Institute.
Actively participate in personal growth and development relevant to the advancement of non-invasive CV imaging and relevant areas of research interest, and will take advantage of departmental seminars and other educational opportunities. He/she will actively and independently study to extend their theoretical and practical knowledge of relevant research areas, and will demonstrate this through publication of relevant material, participation in Departmental Meetings and Journal Clubs, and their interactions with other facilities, medical staff members and hospital staff.
Coordinates clinical practice and continuing medical education courses using external and internal resources. Acts as the subject matter expert for pediatric sonography, the scope of practice, licensure requirements for national and state regulating agencies and organizations.
