Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a physician with fellowship training or sub-specialty experience in Pain Medicine. The candidate will be expected to continue to work to integrate pain medicine services for our chronic pain patients within the primary care and surgical outpatient clinics. The focus of this role will be addressing the chronic pain management needs of the patients through medication optimization and non-interventional therapies. Candidates with an internal medicine, family medicine, neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychiatry or anesthesiology background and training/experience in pain medicine are encouraged to apply. Although this position will be "housed" within the Department of Anesthesiology, candidates for this position need not be anesthesiologists by training.
Candidate must have good communication, clinical and teaching skills. Candidate must be eligible for a Virginia medical license and for permanent employment in the USA.
