Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility.
*1.0 FTE is Full-Time, any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time, and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time*
*Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .875 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical, dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .874 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical, dental and vision benefits*
Responsibilities: Responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to day- functioning of the Operating Room Suites. The O.R. Manager is an experienced operating room nurse, with knowledge of and a commitment to peri-operative care of patients. This individual applies principles of leadership and human relations in the overall coordination and supervision of patient care and personnel in the operating rooms. This position may be delegated certain responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Surgical and Anesthesia Services. Other duties as assigned.
Summary: Minimum of three to five years of experience in an acute care setting, three of which should be in the Operating Room is required.
Supervisory and/or education experience in the O.R. is preferred.
Degree in Nursing (Baccalaureate or Graduate) is required.
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). CNOR certification is preferred.
Other information: Demonstration of Leadership activities in previous roles. Ability to type on a keyboard and learn the use of different computer programs. Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with medical staff, nurse managers, OR staff, and other hospital departments. Analytical skill necessary to observe nursing practices to assure adherence to policy. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 80% of worked time. Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
