LabCorp is seeking a Histology Grosser position in the Histology department of Houston, TX! This third shift position will have the hours of 10:00pm -- 6:30am, Monday - Friday with rotating Saturdays. The candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills in the areas of the technical lab. They need to know the ins and outs of a lab.
The functions of the Histology Grosser position will include, but will not be limited to the following:
Responsible for performing CLIA and CAP waived and non-waived testing in clinic laboratory seating
Complying with LabCorp and regulatory agency policies and procedures
Complete Log Sheets
Performs Quality Assurance
Assistants with receiving various specimens and accurately order entering them into the LabCorp Information System
Attention to detail is mandatory
Normally requires a Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of experience in Histology and meet all licenses necessary for Histology or Associates degree with 5 plus years' experience.
Constant attention to detail is mandatory.
At least 2 years of full time experience preferred
Ability to multitask with minimal onsite supervision including performance of required QC and proficiency testing
Working closely with other departments in the laboratory
