Swedish Medical Center is looking for a Research Program Manager \(1\.0 FTE, Day shift\) in the Reid Family Innovative Therapeutics Research Unit \(ITU\) department at Swedish First Hill in Seattle, WA\.
The Research Program Manager \(PM\) for the Reid Family Innovative Therapeutics Research Unit \(ITU\) leads ongoing efforts to plan, develop, initiate, implement and manage ITU clinical research operations\.
In this position you will:
The PM will provide leadership, clinical practice expertise, education, program development, and consultation to promote clinical research excellence\.
The PM will use problem solving strategies and the research process to improve outcomes and or/achieve program goals and will work collaboratively with management and ITU leadership\.
The PM will facilitate decision making to influence the development, implementation and evaluation of patient, unit, department and organizational goals\. This includes the following: assists with coordination of strategic planning for the program; serves as a liaison with internal and external program partners; assists in identifying potential new business partners; provides leadership and support to develop and manage collaborations and contracts; is responsible to ensure that all research, clinical, regulatory, and scientific standards, expectations, and requirements are met; promotes internal and external awareness of the new program, plans/coordinates meetings; partners with the ITU Medical Director for operational programming development; and develops ITU policies and procedures for support of clinical program goals as determined by the ITU leadership\.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's degree, or higher in a nursing related field from a National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing
Washington State Registered Nurse or RN Temporary Practice Permit
Valid driver's license \(In the case of a newly\-relocated individual, a Washington state license must be acquired under the circumstances and within the required timeframe set by the state of Washington\)
Possession of the minimum \(or greater\) insurance coverage as mandated by the state of Washington
When a personal vehicle is to be used for business purposes, a valid vehicle registration form is required
A minimum of five years' experience as a nurse leader with a focus on clinical research and oncology expertise
Strong background with Phase I clinical trials
Education and experience in healthcare consulting, strategic/informatics/marketing planning and business development, and all phases of clinical trials\.
