Vanderbilt University Medical Center TempForce was created to connect temporary talent to all areas of VUMC. TempForce places diverse and skilled personnel to departments across the Medical Center.
VUMC TempForce has opportunities for a Staff Scientist. In this role you will assists the Principal Investigator with grant manuscript preparation. Independently carries out and design highly sophisticated and independent experiments. Mentor and train graduate students and post-doctoral fellow in developing their research projects
The Crowe lab has numerous projects with clinical and translational potential. We are looking for a very high functioning scientist with strong organizational skills. This position will be required to manage large amounts of data being generated on these projects, interface with internal and external stakeholders regarding, work with stakeholders to define goals and track progress towards these goals, as well as, contribute scientifically to the data required to move projects forward. The level of independence and innovation necessary cannot be understated. Strong potential exists for an expansion of the scope and duration of the projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Accurately disburses and collects cash.
· Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
· Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists &/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
· Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
· Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
