Promptly reports changes in patientsigns and symptoms to staff nurse. Reports unusual occurrences (i.e., patientinjuries or falls).
Utilizes information systems promptlyand efficiently (i.e., Omninotes, diet list computer, page system).
Promptly notifies appropriate staffof patient discharge or transfer.
Safely and correctly utilizespatient care equipment (i.e., bed and chair alarm, Hoyer lift, mattress overlay,scales, Horizon Pump, CPM, etc.).
Attends 50% of staff meetings.
Has knowledge of unit goals andexpectations.
Follows hospital policies andprocedures.
Refers to supervisor, charge nurse,or team leader when unfamiliar situations arise.
Attends all mandatory courses asdesignated.
Demonstrates responsibility forself-development by participating in learning activities to obtain skills tomeet gaps as identified in collaboration with supervisor.

Orients new staff members to unit.
Upholds all patient rights.

High School graduateor equivalent.
CurrentCalifornia Nurses Assistant Certification.
One year acutecare experience as a CNA.
