Under the general supervision of the Chief Rehabilitation Officer, and according to established policies and procedures, professional guidelines, adult learning principles, and evidence-based practice, the Clinical Educator designs, plans, and implements educational projects and offerings for patients/families and Bannasch Institute team members.
Providing and assuring that the diagnosis-related educational needs of Bannasch Institute IRF patients and their families are achieved
Responsible for various educational activities during orientation and on an ongoing basis, including designing learning and delivering training based on unit needs
Assists leadership in completion of mandatory education initiatives
Serves as subject matter resource as needed to represent the department
Participates in establishing unit-based educational goals that align with business needs and identified strategies of the Bannasch Institute and participates in assessment of effectiveness.
3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting
Background and training that focuses on understanding medical, functional, and psychological aspects of various disabilities and disabling conditions
Previous experience in healthcare setting providing clinical education to patients, families, and/or professional staff
2 years of clinical experience in the acute inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred
