Performs selected activities for a research project(s) including subject recruitment, data entry and data collection activities guided by written protocols. Approaches patients at clinical visits, community events or employee events regarding participation in research studies. May be assigned multiple clinics to cover and will be directed depending on clinic flow and recruitment opportunity.
Depending on location assigned, may assist clinic office flow by: registering patients, rooming patients, verifying lab orders and checking out patients in an effective and efficient manner for the department
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the system in its efforts to provide quality patient care and patient satisfaction and to be a leader in Precision Health initiatives
Works under the supervision of the Precision Health Regional Lead and Operations Manager, as well as the project Principal Investigator as required.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrated ability to approach and communicate effectively with patients, employees, and members of the community.
Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Demonstrated moderate to advanced computer skills required and will be assessed at time of hire.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic research methodology and research data collection preferred.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of office or customer service experience required. OR an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for experience.
Experience in sales, recruitment, education preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in an office or clinical environment. Occasionally, work will be performed in an inpatient environment. Additional training will be provided, as needed.
Travel within the system is expected, typically no more than 30 minutes from the primary work location, with occasional travel to meetings in Danville or other regional remote viewing areas. The amount and frequency of travel depends on the patient eligibility at the primary work location and surrounding clinics.
